I'm so Proud

I'm so proud of Michael. Tuesday his class went on a fieldtrip to the Lower Seymour River in North Vancouver. I couldn't make this fieldtrip so Michael asked me if he could take a camera. I said sure and gave him the long spiel about how to take care of it and all. When he returned he was very excited to show me all the photos he took. In total it was over 100 photos. The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. LOL
When I came upon this photo my jaw dropped, it is fabulous. Michael you have a real eye for photography. I'm so excited.

What a great close-up, you can count the rings in the tree to see how old the tree was.
And this one is beautiful, it is the reflection of the forest in the river.
I'm so glad I let you take the camera with you.

My Little Ball Player

I find it amazing how fast the body can heal itself. Michael's black eye is almost completely healed. We are off to play baseball this afternoon.

I will update with the score later. Have a great day in the sunshine and thanks for visiting.

Love the new system

What new system you ask? The one where in my scrapbooking area I pick something up because it doesn't have a permanent home yet and instead of trying to find it a permanent home I use it on a scrapbook page without too much over-thinking. Look I did 4 layouts yesterday in a few hours of clean up.

All my cleaned up bits are now housed on completed pages which are filed in their appropriate albums. Ohh!!! organization excites me. LOL
I'm so upper right hand quadrant, eh Kandice :o)

Get Creative...a few layouts

This past weekend I was trying to clean up my Scrap Cupboards and realized I have too much stuff. As if I didn't already know that, ROTFL. Here is my new solution of the week...I will pick up an item and instead of trying to find a spot to house it in the cupboard, I will use it on a layout. Here are three layouts where I used my new plan.

Baseball Bruiser

Michael's first black eye. During his Baseball practice on Monday night he miss the pop fly with his glove and caught it with his beautiful face. Here is a timeline of the bruising.

This photo was taken 1 hour after the accident. Monday 8pm

This photo was taken 14 hours after the accident. Tuesday 8am

This photo was taken 39 hours after the accident. Tuesday 9pm
What a trooper Michael has been, he still went to his Soccer try-outs and Basketball practice yesterday. I can't wait to scrapbook the page.
P.S. I did ask if he was alright before I started flashing the camera bulbs. LOL

Short weeks...

I find that short weeks fly by twice as fast.

Michael started playing baseball this week. He was orginally placed in a AA Rookie League and then on Tuesday we found out that he had been moved up to the AAA Minor League. He played his first game with the team without having practiced with them. I thought he did good considering these boys and girl are older and more experienced. His first at bat he struck out due to nerves. The second at bat he hit it to left field and did score a run. He had an error in the first inning in the field which led to a run being scored but again he was probably nervous. This year the rules are finally the same as regular baseball, 3 outs and stealing. This is going to be a great baseball season. Go Cardinals!!!

Basketball practice, Bowling and a Baseball game for Michael. We had the Scrapaholics coffee meeting on Wednesday night, Thursday was spring cleaning and paperwork. Thursday evening Michael and I decorated the house for Easter. I'm a little late decorating this year. Friday was family day and we went to see "Fast and the Furious" at the theatre. I love Vin Diesel.

Michael has batting pratice and a ball game on Saturday and the Easter Bunny will come on Sunday. Whew what a busy week. Spring is in full swing.

Thanks for stopping by.

More photos from Timberline Ranch Retreat

I love that the retreats give Kandice and I a chance for an extended visit. I don't like that we live so far apart.

Shadow puppets and a little graffitti on the pavement.

This time for the "Off to the Horse Races" game we were unable to get the regular horses, they were on strike due to the wild antics of the participants. So instead the mares from "My Little Pony" came to play with us. It was still a wild ride but lots of fun and laughter.

B-I-N-G-O!!! We played bingo with our layouts and used it as an incentive to get our layouts done. Way to go everyone, thanks for playing, I really enjoyed seeing all your creative layouts.

We are back from our 5th Timberline Ranch Retreat and it was fabulous. This is the layout that I got done on Friday night. I loved this picture the minute I saw it last year and new it needed to be Scrapped as a 8x12 photo, single page l/o. I love the way it turned out.
Today has been bowling unpacking, and catching up on the post paperwork from the weekend. I just uploaded the photo and thought I would sneek in a post. I best be getting back to work. I have more photos from the weekend and will post again later today.
Thanks for visiting :o)

Mother Nature's April Fool's Joke

Wow!!! What a shock it was to see SNOW on April 1st. Where is our Spring, the poor little birds and plants just don't know what to do. It snowed all day until 1pm and then it was snowing again last night when I went to bed at midnight. Looking out my window today I can still find a trace or two of the white stuff.
This weekend is my Timberline Ranch Scrapbooking Retreat and I'm very excited and looking forward to seeing everyone and getting a few pages done. I have decided to continue to work on my Disney album that I was doing last weekend at the Langley Retreat. Come to think of it, I was going to post some photos. OOps.....I'm off to take some picutres before packing the Album.

This is the Gummy Bear Sundae I made at the Chocolate Buffet on the Cruise Ship. I so love Gummy Bears and so I just had to have this. It has Strawberry Ice Cream, Hot Butterscotch and lots and lots of Gummy Bears. Ooh I'm starting to crave it.

I'm tagging Rae, Ally, Mindy, Pinky, Cheryl, Amy and Kandice.

Have fun :o)
