Safe Journey my Friends

Cheers to your new home in the Country,
a Half a Country away.

Robin I will miss our shopping visits, chick flicks and Ming & Sing.
Let me know as soon as the snow is gone and temperature reaches 10 degrees,
then I will come for a visit.

Oscar, a.k.a. Mr. Fluffy, a.k.a. the Fluff Meister,
a.k.a. Little Buddy, a.k.a. Ozzie,
I'm going to miss our walks around the neighbourhood,
our car rides to run errands.
Your head shaking antics, and our snuggle time.

Stay warm in Springfield, Manitoba.

A Great Friend

A Great Friend is one who listens when you talk.
Thanks Jo, I love my new book.
It makes me Happy, Happy, Happy!!!

At the park while waiting for Michael to finish his
baseball game yesterday this little fellow
was being chased by another Squirrel.
It was very entertaining.

NYC

New York City Skyline

Statue of Liberty
We are on the ferry en route to the island where she lives.

I love that he loves me enough
to act goofy once in awhile.

The points on her Crown symbolize the Seven Seas and Seven Continents.

NYC Skyline taken from the Statue of Liberty

A graveyard in the centre
of the Financial District.

The New World Trade Centre

9/11 Memorial
This was the most beautiful memorial I have ever seen.

There are 2 Square Memorial Pools representing each of the towers.
The Water is constantly flowing towards the center of the Memorials.

The Names of those who lost their lives are carved
out of the metal that surrounds the Memorial Pools.

The mist that is constantly created sits on the metal
and covers the names just like a blanket of tears.

NYC Through My Lens....

Rockerfeller Center

"LOVE"
Happy 21st Anniversary

Central Park
We rented bikes and toured
Central Park for 2 hours.

Central Park Lagoon

Ed Sullivan Theatre
The Late Show is currently on hiatus
until Sept 2013

Yankee Stadium
We arrived early to the Sunday afternoon
game at Yankee Stadium so that we could
take it all in. Our seats were in the Right
Field Bleachers with a lot of locals.
It's was a Hoot and the Yankees won.

NYC - Through My Lens

New York City...Through My Lens

Radio City Music Hall
This is were they tape the show
"America's Got Talent"
We picked up tickets to a live taping
but in the end we opted for a
NY Yankees Baseball game instead.

Dylan's Candy Bar
Here Michael is about to devour
a Giant Gummy Bear.

NY Mets @ CitiField
We went to a NY Mets Baseball game
vs the Colorado Rockies.
It was a great game with the Mets
winning their first shutout of the season.

This is a piece of the old Shea Stadium
moved into the new stadium.

Empire State Building
Each night the Empire State Building
is lit up with different colours.
We saw Purple, Green, White,
and Green/Orange/White.
For National Holidays it is Red/White/Blue.

The American Museum of Natural History
This is the Museum that is depicted in the movie
"A Night at the Museum" a favourite of our family.
While walking to the Museum the skies opened up
and it started to down pour where the rain was
bouncing a foot off the ground.
Michael hailed us a Cab in seconds
by jumping in the streets with a raised hand,
just like a resident New Yorker.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
We ate at a different Restaurant every night
only repeating on the last night of our stay with the
Restaurant we had on the first night "Schnipper's".
I love crab legs but the downside
is it takes me so long to eat them.
The boys endured a long dinner
at Bubba Gump just for me.

Times Square
This place is packed with people every night
and lots of people dressed up in costumes
trying to make money by having their pictures taken.
Luckily we didn't have to pay these two Shoppers.

M&M's Store
Michael's favourite thing at the M&M Store
is the bulk candy section. Here he is back
in the hotel room with his $20 bag of M&M's.

New York City Through My Lens

New York City Through My Lens...

Our first stop was Grand Central Station
They are celebrating 100 years.

St. Patrick's Cathedral
The stain glass was beautiful and detailed.

F.A.O. Schwarz Toy Store
As a kid this is why I wanted to go to New York.

Apple Store
The Apple Store in the Big Apple.
(one of many in New York City)

Trump Tower
Every detail shines in Gold.

This morning I woke up in New York City, and tonight I'm going to sleep in Coquitlam, B.C.
The wonders of travel...One of the best things about travelling is coming home.

More photos to come...Stay tuned.
