A Poem on a Whim

OUTSIDE

Light Light, how it shines upon earth,

Shadows unfold and appear very bold.

Sun Sun, how it shines upon earth,

Temperatures rising above the norm.

Windmills spin, round and round

Blades of grass bend down to the ground.

Water cascades, babbling by

Clouds in the sky ever changing, Why?

This past week was very slow on the scrapping front

but I did manage one quick layout for the 2007 Disney Album.

I didn't get too many photos of Michael this baseball season,

 but here is one before his last game of the All-Star Tournament.

Finishing Touches

Today I added a few finishing touches to my studio.

I still had one box to unpack with odd n ends belonging

 in the studio as well as finishing the wall opposite my desk.

I got a wire from IKEA to hang a few layouts and that way

I can keep changing the look as I create more.

We also hung the Eiffel Tower poster.

Getting a little Creative with Creative Scrappers

Here are my latest creations. The first one is loosely using sketch #216 from Creative Scrappers.

The second one I had fun playing with my Stickles to create just the perfect lettering.

With life so busy these days I have had very little time to spend on my blog.

I have found a few minutes today and wanted to catch you up

 on the goings on in my life.

Here is the Banner that a workmate made celebrating her team in the NBA Playoffs.
As you can see I took my paperdoll to work and she was hanging from the Banner
 after my Miami Heat beat her Oklahoma City Thunder for the NBA Championship.
I love having other women that I can have a sports rivalry with and have fun.
Especially fun when you can bring papercrafting into it. LOL

Here is my latest layout I have completed.
 It was a long process adding and fiddling a little every day for a good week.

High Tea at the Hotel Vancouver

I love the History of Afternoon Tea

It doesn't happen very often so this was special.

This year I made Strawberry Freezer Jam.
A little bevy refreshment helped get me through the 8 batches I made.
My boys are very excited as this is their favourite jam.

Last weekend we drove down to Seattle to Safeco Field to watch
the Seattle Mariners vs the Boston Red Sox.
The game went into an extra inning and the Boston Red Sox won.
We were very happy as this is "Our Team"

Michael's  All Star Baseball Tournament starts tomorrow and goes until next Sunday July15th.
May the Baseball Angels be smiling down on our team.

 to improve your baseball skills over the last few years.

Yesterday you got the news you were hoping for and

 I'm happy to announce the Michael has made it

 on to the All-Star Baseball Team for 2012.



Miami Heat Are The NBA Champions!!!

Congratulations to the Miami Heat.

These three players to me show great

Determination, Dedication and Sportsmanship.

They played as a Team,

and played for their Team, Coaches and Fans.

They are greatly deserving of this Championship.



Baseball Dreams

Baseball regular season has come to an end with two very exciting games.

Our fourth place Giants beat the first place Yankees

 to advance to the Championship Game. As a sign of the weather this season

 our Championship Game was postponed on Saturday due

 to the Mother Nature and her showers of love.

Rescheduled and played on Sunday the Blue Jays

won a hard fought battle. The final score was 2-0 for the Blue Jays.

If only our bats were a little hotter.

Now comes Summer Ball.....this is the most committed year

Michael has had so far. He is hoping to get a spot on this year's All-Star team.

He has made it through 2 rounds of cuts. Now he will play 3 games and

 have 2 practices and then on Sunday the final four player cuts will be made and the

 team will be solidified. I hope so much for him to have the best experience ever.

So if you are looking for me over the next few weeks

 I will be at the ball park cheering on the All-Stars

One of my Best Gifts Ever!

The other day I received this precious little Gnome from my friend Kandice.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

I have been actively looking for a Gnome to hang with.

I almost bought one at an antique shop just off the I-5

 in Washington State last month.

The only thing that stopped me was its size.

It was just too big to tuck into my camera bag

and take on the road with me.

This little guy is just the right size (4" tall)

 to carry with me on all sorts of adventures

and to capture with my camera lens.

I'm sure a mini album will be in the works very soon.

Custom Card

I was asked to create a custom card.

Here are the parameters:

- must be an extra large card for lots of signatures

- it is being given for a 50th Wedding Anniversary

 - must have a cruising theme because that is the gift.

I stressed out just a little bit but in the end I was very happy

with my creation and so was the person who made the request.
