Make new friends, but keep the old;
Those are silver, these are gold.
New-made friendships, like new wine,
Age will mellow and refine.
Friendships that have stood the test -
Time and change - are surely best;
Brow may wrinkle, hair grow gray,
Friendship never knows decay.
For 'mid old friends, tried and true,
Once more we our youth renew.
But old friends, alas! may die,
New friends must their place supply.
Cherish friendship in your breast-
New is good, but old is best;
Make new friends, but keep the old;
Those are silver, these are gold.

I want to be your friend
For ever and ever without break or decay.
When the hills are all flat
And the rivers are all dry,
When it lightens and thunders in winter,
When it rains and snows in summer,
When Heaven and Earth mingle -
Not till then will I part from you.
Chinese 1st century AD, translated Arthur Waley

I keep my friends as misers do their treasure, because, of all the things granted us by wisdom, none is greater or better than friendship.

Love is like the wild rose-briar;
Friendship like the holly-tree.
The holly is dark when the rose-briar blooms,
But which will bloom most constantly?

A few layouts to share...
During the month of April I spent lots of time scrapbooking and now it is time to share and remember. Life is very full these days with Basketball, Baseball and Homework. Michael is doing well with all that is going on but it sure does make for a full calendar. I'm glad to see tax season done and I'm ready to dive into some Spring Cleaning and Purging. Today I bought new slippers and I'm going to throw out at least two pair.
I see I'm bad at journalling. There is jounalling with only 1 out of 5 layouts.
"We 3" has hidden journalling. Hmmm what is this telling me.....???
I think it is time for a journalling challenge.....Does anyone have a challenge for me?
You know how I love a challenge.

I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.
